I highly doubt that. I bought the motor from H Motor online. 3 of my buddies had this motor too. All on the block is clearly stamp D16A. Hehe, yeah it's very weird. Oh wells, if you any if you guys have any new ideas or information feel free to let me know. Thanks.

I found this thread hoping to shed some light onto my motor but yet again, I came up with nothing. There is no code in the list that is "D16A" All off the D16A has a number after it, mine is JDM and it has a plain D16A stamp. No numbers. And all the D16A in his list is non-VTEC motor, mine is a SOHC VTEC. I been trying to figure out for years now what car this motor came off of. Can someone help?</TD></TR></TABLE>

The D16A is a common engine used in Japan. It has between ~118-128 horsepower and around 110 lb-ft or so. It's comparable to a ZC engine.
And several of them (like the Civic Coupe STD) have VTEC.
The chance that you and three of your friends would all have happened to have found the same rare engines is unlikely.
My chassis list should include all (or most) of the information above.

Re: Honda Motor Codes
becuase you clearly got the information else where you didn' proof read it did you.
as at the top it says
B16A2 Honda Civic SiRII (JDM) 1992-1995
B16A 1.6L JDM DOHC VTEC 92-95 Civic Si-R II
i know my EG6 SIR 2 JDM has a B16A
my EK4 before this had a B16a"
please don't mis inform people as the first thing i read was my caar having a b16a2 when it has B16 written on the engine.
surely i cannot be the only person who has noticed this. ???
ok i have read on further and there is alot that is incorrect can someone sort this or delete it as it is pointless having all the wrong info displayed and in such a way it is hard to read as well.
