Honda Intake Manifold
Hey i got a 1997 Civic Ex with the d16y7 canadian edition... i wana swap the intake manifold for now cuz i dont have the money for a mini-me ... wich one can i use ? any d series intake manifold ? what about an H-series ? would it fit ? thanks alot and hope someon can help me out with this !!

Use a Y8. You can find them on our SI's. This thread will help you out with what you need to know.

hey .. thanks but your link doesnt work !! and i dont wana use a y8 !! i whant something different and theres not alot of SI's around here thats why ... what about an H intake manifold ?

Z6 will work too, just that some people say that the y8 is better, and i think that they have both been tested and dynoed, but im not sure, some people argue that the z6 is better, but i have a y8 on my y7 motor, and it gives it more topend power according to the butt dyno atleast

y8! even if u dont do the whole mini me swap you will still notice a difference with the bigger im but u should deffinatley eventually get the y8 head and ecu to go vtec..i did it and its sweet

id go Y8 no prob its just i heard some sensor on the IM wont match up !! and i saw on a thred ppl were puttin Auto Y8 Im on a M/t Y7 cuz thats the only way u can stay with the stock wiring .... whats the big difference between y7 and y8 ??? anyone know ?

i had a z6 intake manifold, it ran better than my ex stock but my other car had exhaust who knows. i think the z6 looks more like the type r intake manifold that i have now
