Default honda hatch back dx mod help

I will soon own a 95 honda hatchback DX. I have about 9 grand to spend on a new engine and mods. For the engine, I'm thinking about purchasing a B18c5 because I have heard that they are better for an N/A setup, since I really dont want to boost. It will be my DD but I also wouldn't mind taking it to the track from time to time. So basically I would just like to know if the B18c5 is a good choice and if so, what would be the best things to do to it for HP gain.

This will be my first car project so im kind of in the dark, any advice would be great. THANKS!!!!!

the b18c5 will def rip in a hatch...i was going to say if you have that much you might as well get a k20 but theres a lot of modification you have to do for it to get in there which i dont think would be good...make sure u get a b18c5 with an LSD they make a difference... start with suspension parts first though...

Which suspension parts should be changed? And could you point me into the direction of a reliable website to order parts? Lol, i know just enough about all this to know i dont know much. Again, any suggestions on good upgrades for b18c5? I would hear you all.

This is what i plan to do. Please feel free to tell me if some of these parts are a bad idea. I would like to get between 230 and 250 Hp. Is this realistic?
I know the engine is emaculate as it is, i would just like to get more out of it.

K20A (JDM Type R) all day. You might spend around 9 grand for the swap but it would def. be worth it!!!

where are you from, if you're from cali, you better watch out for the cops, i say a Honda Fit pulled over today by the sheriff and the guy had the hood popped and the cop looking inside. the car had some exterior mods, but very clean, nothing flashy, but the hood was popped.

GL with the build

Im from Oklahoma. Im not too worried about the cops here. I want to do the swap on my own and while the K20 would be a great engine to have i hear that there are a lot of things that need to be done to make it fit. And im pretty sure i dont have the ablity to do all that myself.

i'd say with a good tune you'd be able to make 230-250hp but i don't think you'd make WHP with that setup.
ever thought about forced induction? ( turbo or supercharger)? i got a JRSC CRVTEC. have yet to find out the WHP though(it is tuned so that i can run it to dyno when i get a chance, then tune it like a bastard.). 60 hours a week kills me at work.
Either way C5's seem to be a good choice.

Another thing about the k 20 is that ive heard that i would have to do away with either A/C or power steering. In Oklahoma not having a A/C would kill me. I dont really want to boost for fear of loosing the engine.
