so i failed my smog test due to evap leak and took it for a smoke diagnostics and smoke came out from gas tank, behind the seats, and inside the trunk and the guy said it mostly likely either the rubber seal worn off or when the previous owner drilled in the after market speakers they hit the tank.

but my question is that i found a guy who is parting his 94 vtech del sol and i wish to purchase his gas tank but mine is a 95 1.5 non tech and so will his gas tank fit onto my car with no problems?

Looking at the Majestic Honda website all year and model del sols seem to have the same part number fuel tank 17500-SR2-A31 so i guess you'll be OK.

You might as well just buy a new one if your going to buy a tank. Who knows if that tank from the sol is leaking or not?

Where can you buy a new tank from? I'm doing some research. (Going to do more) but I'm looking at replacing mine also since the car sat for literally 9 years.
