Honda del sol convertible Vtec
Hi guys ive just bought a 92 crx vtec convertible. Im in nz. The car is a jap import. the 1 fault with car is speedo doesnt show right speed its slow. Does this model use a speedo cable or is it electronic speedo? Im finding conflicting info on the net most of the posts are about USDM crx's which ive read are different

Do you mean a Del Sol? There was no '92 CRX in the US but the Del Sol was sold as a CRX abroad. Anything '92+ should be electronic speedo. Post a pic of the car so we can help you.

Yes it is a del sol. Anyways I found it is electronic speed sensor. And its not the speed sensor playing up Ive isolated the fault too behind the guage cluster. I tried a replacement sensor and replacement drive gear for sensor from wrecker and they didnt fix it thats how I isolated problem to behind guage cluster. And unfortunately it will cost 150 to get that part if they even have it as this models quite old now. Sigh.

most hondas from that era have an adjustable speedometer gauge. 2 screws that change the position on the needle for idle and high rpm. pull the speedo out of the cluster to find it
