Honda Civic DX coupe
I have another question about the 03 DX's would it be cheaper putting a EX Head on the DX motor or swaping out, and if so what sawp out would be best

Re: Honda Civic DX coupe (Austinbionic316)
Sell it and get another car. 01+ Civic Sedans/Coupes aren't meant to be modded. Although I've read articles about people putting K20's in...but it being way more of a hassle than its worth. Drive the 03's like they are meant to be driven...as economy cars

^^ i couldnt have said it better, the whole design of the car isnt meant fot modding or there isnt enough aftermarket support due to the ecu, and just the whole lay out of the car.. dont waste time, money, and patience its not worth it IMOP

No one said that.
It just would not be practical.
You can optimize your spendings on a real motor swap instead of swapin heads and gettin 12hp (4whp)

I dont agree with Bauly that the k20 would not be worth it, it's totally worth everything plus more.

Well...motors are like 4000-5000 (depending on RSXS or DC5R)...mount kit is 500, header is 650...then you have the wiring, and I believe custom axles and shift linkage have to be made, and then theres making it fit a sedan/coupe ...but again i'm not sure...
So...when you have bought an 01 civic and have dumped 8 grand into an already 15,000 car...you could've spend 1/3 of the money on an EG or EK and be going faster...just my opinion

Yeah...while you're trying to fit those into a 2001 civic see if you can get an LS1 to fit too

Re: (Austinbionic316)
You have an automatic DX 03? Try to believe me when I say this...just LEAVE IT ALONE. If you want to go fast, sell that car. You will go into debt trying to make that thing fast, and i'm not even kidding.

umm... The terms "Good-Looking" and "2003 Honda Civic" don't even go together.
oh.
IMO.

Re: Honda Civic DX coupe (R_EG)
there are a lot of seventh gen civic haters on this site as you can see. i drive a 95 civic and an 88 crx but personally i think the new civics are not bad looking cars, especially the coupe. try this site. http://www.7thgencivic.com
