K series for the best power for a stock engine...
For the money, LS/CRVTEC...
or maybe even a boosted D series for the money. Those engines are cheap...

Id get the B16B and bore and stroke it to 2.0L then go whoop some *** with your little "B16"

It depends on what you're looking for out of the motor.

Id go with an h22.

It will cost about the same as a type R swap though. K series would be good, but you need $$$.

Heh, just getting into civics so im still trying to learn.

yea dont listen to the guy who said go for the h22 because apprently he is new. im new to the fourm but not the cars. going for the b16 b would be awesome not many people go for the civic type r motor. the b16a is the best motor to swap into an eg hatch. i have a 92 cx hatch and im about to do the same swap. the h22 is almost 100 lbs heavier then the b series motors so you are getting more power but sacrificing weight. Also i have many freinds with the h22 swap and they wish they have never done it, it runs shitty in anything but a prelude or accord. but definitly go b-series or go d-series with either a supercharger or turbo you get mad respect if you work a sohc right.
