Honda Civic CX engine swap

Honda Civic CX engine swap
I have a 95 civic CX with a D15B7. I want to swap the engine with a DHOC engine, I'm looking a D16A8 or a ZC engine. What do I need to do to make it work and what other options do I have?

As stated before..... your looking for books in a library. There is something at the top of the page called "Search" or just go to wikipedia and search DOHC engines.

Re: Honda Civic CX engine swap (airbornesapper30)
dude from personal experience,
d series is a definite waste of time,
granted that they are extremely cheap and easy to work on,
they're slow, and they cost a lot to make fast,
just put a B in that bitch
--suggestion--
other than that-
i'd go with the ZC
my full Y8 swap with lightened flywheel in a gutted coupe got owned by a stock *** ZC Si hatch with a DX trans.
so i'd go with the SOHC ZC IMO.
if you dont want a B in that

all d series motors are single cam. im a noob too. but manybe ur talking about b16A2? outa the 0\99-00 civic si. just look around the forum here. ur question is asked alot!! theres alot of options. such as integra motors. which are the b18b or maybe the older b18a. also you can put in a integra gsr engine. thats a 1.8 too. if u swap one of these with a turbo or slap a vtec head later on. i would suggest before you do any tpe of swap READ UP on these motors and what it takes to swap it in. like the Wiring, and mounts, the ecu ETC.

bro when you go b-series everything changes
you can use the same engine mounts (minus the rear bracket) and the same axles
maybe the same wire harness depending if your going VTEC or non.
but yeah you have to get a b series trans, unless they've created an adapter plate in which you can put d series transmissions on a b series? lol

Re: (minime-civic)
so with any D- series I can use the same trans. I just want to make sure. Like I said I'm new in this and I dont want to mess it up and end up paying more than what I have to. From what I was reading in the internet the ZC 1.6 DHOC is more like the same as the D16A8 but the ZC is from Japan.
