Honda Civic Coupe 2003 I want to lower it
I bought my car not to long ago and I want to lower my car. I need to have adjustable suspension since where I live the roads are harsh and in the winter it snows heavily.
I have a Macpherson strut set up in the front and double wishbone in the back.
I want to have a good solid ride but I don't want to spend to much cash (approx 1000$).
Do you know if lowering the car voids my manufacturer's warranty.

with 1k in cash would go with some tein coilovers....lowering will not void warrenty for the most part...like if you went with just lowering springs on stock shocks your shocks will not be covered. with full coilovers no other parts really get that much additional stress unless you slam it to the ground....so you should be fine.
on a budget i would go with some agx kyb shocks and some lowering springs..i like my tein s techs...eibach are nice. i love hr's! i would probably suggest this to you since your really only in it for the looks and dont need all out performance... with this setup you will get the best of both worlds...now if you really insist on adjustability get some kybs or koni yellows and some ground control coilover sleeves...with this setup youd be pretty close to $800...

Re: Honda Civic Coupe 2003 I want to lower it (2trix)
Thanks for your feedback, I had some other questions if you could help me out.
Will that be better than my stock suspension when it comes to performance?
In terms of performance I don't need anything like racing performance but I would like to have a little better handling. I don't want anything to extreme cause of the winter and the fact that we have bad roads here in Montreal (a lot of pot holes). So something that performs better but at the same time something I can drive everyday.
I wouldn't mind having my car straightening out on turns.
Do I need to get sway bars?
