Icon2 Honda Civic 97 Help.

I have a 97 civic, has had two owners. While i was driving it strted to over heat, so i pulled over and waited for it to cool down. I waited for about an hour or so and then it wouldnt start. So i thought it was either my battery or starter. I call my grandfather and he comes and jumps me i drive for about 10 seconds and it starts over heating again, but my grandpa had told me to keep driving, so i kept driving and everything went haywire! windsheild wipers going crazy, you could hear fuses popping and things inside the dash were smoking! I was buggin out. I still dont know what is wrong with it so im hoping someone on here could tell me. I know its electrical but im not understand why it did this.

Your car is clearly possessed. You'll need a bible, an old priest, and a young priest.

...and by that, I mean a compression test, a voltmeter, and a paper clip. Do the compression test, and tell us what the numbers read. Is the CEL on? Does it work? It's bound to be on with a clusterfuck like this.

He's right you know. "Clusterfuck" is the actual technical jargon.

I wouldn't even know where to start... How far did you drive it after it was overheating? You might have done some serious damage.

I think if it was me I would get to the root of the overheating problem first.

But the CEL codes would be helpful.

Do you want to fix it yourself or are you just looking for someone to tell you what the problem is?

Yep. The full technical classification would be "Clusterfuck borderlining on FUBAR".
