Re: Honda civic 1997 engine up and down problem
When you turn the key to ON, does the Check Engine Light...
1. Turn on then go off.
2. Turn on and stay on.
3. Does NOT turn on at all.

Re: Honda civic 1997 engine up and down problem
i found a video on internet explain how to know the error number on my engine
so when i did it i receive error no.6 and error no.19 and error no.14 when i look for those error
i found that error no.14 idle air control valve or bad ECM i change the idle but
nothing changed so i guess i have a problem in my ECM
any idea friends

Re: Honda civic 1997 engine up and down problem
Code 6 is a problem in the ECT sensor circuit. This code, like code 14, can cause an idle problem.
Reset the ECU to see whether either code returns after running engine or driving car.
