honda civic "check engine light"
I have a 1997 honda civic ex, the check engine light came on, and i got 22 blinks, so what is wrong with my car. thanks

22 is the pressure switch (VTEC Related: Oil Pressure)

you could start by taking your VTEC solenoid apart and making sure it is in good shape and the oil screen isn't clogged. also, I've heard that if your oil is really low it can cause VTEC problems

so how would i go about fixing the problem with my check engine light. (22-vtech pressure valve)

Reset the ECU and see if it comes on again.
Unhook battery, wait a moment or two. Reconnect. DRive. If it comes back on you need to do suggestion above and check oil level and then the vtec solenoid

I doubt oil level would cause the pressure switch code to come on; oil level should just keep VTEC from engaging if too low AFAIK or set off the Oil Level indicator...

You may be right; I just don't see how. In my experience, the Check Oil Light comes on in the cluster when that occurrs. But, again, I may be wrong I suppose.
