HONDA 90's TIMING BELTS
For Honda's from the early 90's 90-93. Does anyone know what the
Expected Lifetime of their TIMING Belts are?
Also can a mechanic estimate of how long the current belt will last?

Re: HONDA 90's TIMING BELTS (rflores)
Should be changed at 100K. It should be changed at regular intervals, because you can't estimate when it will fail from looking at it. If it is worn or damaged, it should be replaced immediately.

The maintainence schedule calls for 90k miles for a T-belt change on 92-95 Civics.
As far as condition, you can inspect the belt for obvious problems. But, you can't determine if it has X number of miles left on it. Safer just to change it if there's any question as to it's last change.
