Hom many bolts are there on the intake manifold

Default Hom many bolts are there on the intake manifold

I ned to know where all the bolts are holding the intake manifold to the head i got all the ones on the top of it, the 2 on the botton mount and 2 that are on the sides are there any more and what is the trick to getting it off

The trick is to also take off the support bracket on the bottom that is also attached to the block. Look right above your oil filter.

its a d16z6 sorry for not specifying. i got 4 off the top 2 off the sides and 2 off the bracket but its still being held down by something somewhere

i know it is pain in the butt to remove intake manifold cause i just replaced mine too..took me and a friend 1 hour to get it out and 45 mins to get it in with power tools..

i got all the bolts out that need to be taken out but the manifold is still stuck to the head. i have tried banging on it, prying on it but its still stuck, and is it completely necessary to take it off wwhen replacing a head gasket

u dont have to remove the Intake mani, 2 replace a head gasket just unbolt the garmets, on the valve cover and get to the head bolts

the intake manifold has somehow welde3d itself to the head soi never mind all that not coming off anyways unless i feel like breaking something

If it for a head gasket, you won't have to remove the manifold from the head. You will need to take the under support off as well as the coolant lines.

As stated you don't need to remove the intake manifold, but it sounds like you missed the nut in the middle (it's behind the black hose, you can see the bottom half of it):

not trying to hijack over here but I'm having a problem with taking off the intake manifold is there any tools or things i should use to take it off? and its a D16Y8 manifold i used pj blaster or something of that and the only things that happening is the bolt is getting strip so what should i do?

see if you can clamp it real tight with a pair of vice grips
