Hitting the Rev Limiter?
I got a 93 honda civic dx with a K&N Cold air intake and Magnaflow exhaust the rest is stock. What I would like to know is if it's ok to hit the rev limiter like when your at a complete stop and you hold the clutch in and stomp on the gas and you hit the rev limiter then take off, is that ok to do or will that end up damaging the motor?

Re: Hitting the Rev Limiter?
Hitting the rev limiter at a dead stop could throw a rod or crank bearing; and dumping the clutch from that RPM will damage your clutch, flywheel, axles, tranny...SO, with that said, get your car chipped w/ 2 step (basically launch control) and youll be a little more easy goin on your drivetrain.

Re: Hitting the Rev Limiter?
i was joking, i wouldnt expect anyone to launch their car from 7k+ and think the car is going to hold up too long.
