Hit a deer - I'm doing the work myself, so I need some help
I recently hit a deer on my way to work. I'm doing the work myself, and was wondering if you guys could give me some links on where to buy parts like new headlights, and grill. I'm not looking to buy oem parts because of price. I wish I could afford to, but it's not in the budget. thanks

Junkyard and craigslist are the best for cheap OEM parts and chances are you can find a whole font end for sale pretty easily. I personally prefer local over shipping because if it doesn't fit your out of luck.
Also when buying local you can get away with not spending much at all. I had a front end collision and paid 30 for both lights and 70 for a bumper that was my color on cl. 40 for a black hood 10 for a grille from a yard and 30 for each fender on cl or a yard also my same color later someone who I was buying part from gave me an old cf hood that I just repaired with cart hair and bondo. sold the junked hood for 30 on cl because I was feeling generous.
I also had to get a new radiator support which if you do need OEM is a must or it wont be safe trust me I had to replace it 2x after I hit a dip in the road the aftermarket one crumpled on the lower tie bar. I pulled one from a yard and had it welded on. After the aftermarket radiator support and having it welded on, I wasted about 300.
But ended up costing me $150 for the total cost of the pulled part with welding.
Defiantly worth the trouble to pull some parts instead of having it shipped to your door. not to mention you save money on shipping

I recommend the junkyards!!! My car could be considered a junkyard build less the performance part which I have bought new. I have saved so much money by buying from there. The money I have saved has allowed me to splurge on extra's.

why can't you buy OEM? There isn't anything wrong with useing used parts. Hell, it's basicly the only way to get quality parts.

i guess i'm mostly talking about the grill. i want that ctr look, but don't even know where to pick that up online. i think the deer did more damage to the car then i did to it. i'll post some pictures of tomorrow.

Brand new fenders for 27.00...not bad since junkyards wanted 40.00 for a dinged up fender.
