Hit a big rock in the road, now steering wheel is crooked..
I'm posting this for a friend.
The car is a 00 Hatch.. He was going through a construction zone and hit a pretty big "rock" in the road. Now the steering wheel is a bit turned and not straight, but the car doesn't pull either way. Could it be alignment? Bent rack?
Thanks

Just get it aligned, they will unhook suspension from sterring wheel, straighten wheel, and hook them back up. and Aligned of course.

*Slap Forehead* You honestly have NO idea how an alignment is performed. *Sigh*
O.P. - Get it aligned at a reputable shop. Any competent, or even half competent alignment tech can pinpoint a bent suspension component using both the alignment specs and well...his eyes. That should take care of everything.

Either a tie rod or the LCA. x2 for taking it to a shop and saying u need it aligned. Then they will be like well we need to fix this before we canalign it, and they will charge u a thousand dollars and u will be broke. Me I would DIY for 50 then pay some1 50 to get aligned.
