Hissing noises from a 98 civic
First noise is a hissing noise coming direction from the gear shifter.
When I'm driving, there is always a faint hissing coming from the gear shifter. If I press it (while in gear) hard towards any direction the hissing gets really loud. It does this in every gear. Any ideas?
Also, I get a loud hissing noise (sounds like an air leak) when I accelerate. It does it in the bottom end of every gear. I did install a CAI, and I'm thinking maybe it's not sealed perfectly and the hissing is coming in through that? I plan on taking it off to check if it makes a difference, but I still have the noise coming from the shifter.

Also, I messed around with the hissing noise. The noise is always there whether I'm in gear or not, just more severe when I move the stick around in gear. The noise fades out when I press the clutch down, it's still there, just very very faint. When I release the clutch the noise gets loud again.
