Like the topic says. Whats the highest rpm's anyones ever takin a single cam motor? What kind of setup did they have?

This question is kind of stupid but ijf you build a motor and put in the appropriate things to let it rev safely then you can rev as high as you want but it doesn't mean you will make power that high and if you didnt that would just cross out the whole point in doing it.

fuel cutoff at 7500. i/h/e on an otherwise stock d16z6. unless u have a cam and are making power up there, its pointless to rev much higher than 7grand. you are just gonna run into problems sooner or later. if u do build it properly, then i dunno maybe 8 grand roughly

yeah i meant to say in my post that i was wondering how high someones made power in a sohc. i know that i/h/e in d16z6 is redline at 7500 but what has anyone done to make power on into the 8k range?

we take our SOHC VTEC camshafts up to 8200 rpm. makes power up to right below 8K.
