Default higher rpm trouble

I have a 92 hatch with a b16a. I have talked to all of my friends, and nobody knows exactly what it is. Recently it has been having troubles in vtec. It feels like it's missfiring or the vtec is turning off for a sec then coming back on. I found out that the condensor fan fuse was blown, so I replaced it, and everything was perfect again, then it blew again like 2 days later, so I replaced it again. and I disconected my ac wiring thinking it wouldn't blow again, but a couple days later it started doing it again, but I checked the fuse and it's not blown this time. I think there might be a short or something. Also whenever it does this, the tachometer jumps up and down slightly and the exhaust pops. Someone told me they thought it was a fuel problem. I just got new plugs & wires and a new battery and I haven't had any cel's on throught this whole ordeal. Any help will be greatly appreciated

I have a fairly new fuel pump and fuel filter. Although I did take my distributor cap off today because I have a msd cap and external coil. I inspected to make sure any wires weren't cut, and I just put the cap back on, and it's running good again. I'm not sure what's going on here. maybe it's just not getting a good connection to the coil? I dunno

I checked the ground wires and they are fine. I'm thinking it's the wires from the coil to the dist. maybe
