maybe a vac leak
you can check for vac leake on your intake mani.......just use starting fluid lightly and spray your hoses and connections
to see what will happen when you have a leak, spray a quick shot into your intake and listen to what your motor does when it gets in there. This is safe and i know many people who check like this. It's cheap and easy.

Re: (slamdcivic)
take your intake off and let it idle open throttle body. there are 2 small holes in your throttle body, plug them with your fingers. if it stops then its the iacv. if thats the problem either block it off completely or try cleaning it. it wont hurt anything to block it off you just wont have a high cold idle anymore. its a very common problem for hondas.
