High Idle Y8 Mini Me Swap

Ok, I've searched and searched but for some reason I couldn't find anything =\ I just finished my Y8 Mini me swap (ZC Block, Y8 Head) Everything is plugged up, NO CEL's just high idle any ideas?

Could it possibly be one of the hoses from my evap system? I couldn't figure out where the house that went on top of my throttle body on the ZC head so I just plugged it for now

Edit:

Im using Y8 timing belt, Y8 Plugs, Y8 Wires, Stock Injectors, etc etc i followed a mini me swap i saw on here everything went fine but the idle issue

vacuum leak maybe? spray some carb. cleaner around the intake manifold if it revs up thats the area your leak is in.

Did you check your idle air control valve? Could be set high causing the idle to be abnormal. The helms manual will direct you on how to check/adjust your idle via the IACV.

Around the neck of the manifold? where the head and manifold bolts on?

Yeah I checked my IACV, I got a new one before the swap, and stripped the manifold down to bare to get it cleaned. I was messing around with the IAC screw but still nothing :(

edit:

i just remembered i even replaced the PCV this morning too =\ could it be my timing?

i just tried the vaccum test and nothing

i noticed that my timing belt is kinda loose, about 1/2 shaft play i tried tightening the tensioner but thats all tight, any ideas?

How high is the idle? If you cover the top of the throttle body with your hand, can you kill the idling engine?

i would i go about doing that? theres a mass air flow sensor there i believe, the idle seems to be roughly around 2k rpm im guessing because got no rpm tach but it sounds as if youre gonna wanna launch a car

i wanna say its my timing but im not sure =\ theres some slack on the left side towards the front of the motor

Pull off the air intake to access and cover the top of the throttle body. Also check whether the throttle cable is adjusted too tightly.

have you driven the vehicle/let the vehicle warm up?

on cold mornings my car likes to idle at 1500-1800 and as soon as it warms up it drops down to 600-700

yeah i let the car warm up completely and drove it 8 miles home (i did the head swap at my friends house) and as i drove home i noticed that my rpm was still high in neutral as i dropped out of gear, but my butterfly is completely closed? maybe i need to adjust/bend the bracket since its off a Y8

Re: High Idle Y8 Mini Me Swap

My guess would be either
1. Faulty/Malfunctioning IAC
or
2. Possible wiring issue?

Re: High Idle Y8 Mini Me Swap

Hey, whatever happened to the high idle issue. I'm having the same problem. The car I bought is having a high idle issue. It's a 93 Honda civic with a mini me swap. As far as what heads I do not know. Also the car redlines at about 5000 rpm's. I've let the car heat warm up and drove for about 10 miles and still has high idle at the end. Also car completely loses memory for radio as well as clock every time I switch the ignition off. Definitely faulty wiring somehow but I'm at a loss. Jumped into a project I knew nothing about. Sorry I know I sound like a noob, which I am but defenitly could use the help.

Re: High Idle Y8 Mini Me Swap

Found this thread by searching potential problems with mini me swap, high idle is either bad IAC or throttle cable bracket is not correct or a nasty vacuum leak... when doing these swaps.. make sure to clean the throttle body off VERY WELL.
