Default High idle, overheating, searched

Alright, well I got a 96 Civic CX auto that I put a 98 y7 engine + manual tranny + ECU into. When the motor runs, at first the idle was going whump, whump, whump, and threw code 14, from the eg codes, it was IAC. So I changed the IAC and map and the whump, whump went away. But the idle is very high (no tach). I'm assuming more than 2500. The motor begins to overheat fairly fast as well. Still the code 14 also. Adjusting TB screw only will do minimal changes which isnt working, and the tb is closed and not sticking. No FITV here, so any suggestions? First step, a coolant flush?
