High Idle, Check engine light

High Idle, Check engine light
I have a EX, and I put in I/H/E. I have being playing with the idle forever now trying to get it just right. If it's too low, then the exsaust rattles when the AC is on, and if i set it to like 650, then when i drive about 20 miles it just all of the sudden jumps up to 1500 and stays there even if i turn the car off. Then the check engine light comes on, and i have to reset the ECU, and turn the idle down to like 250... the timing is at 13' so that is fine... anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks for the help...

Re: High Idle, Check engine light (CivicDXR)
no... i got a repair manual from HONDA, and it should be 12' +/- 2 degrees. And when i hade the car dyno'd the guy advanced it 1 degree... well it was at 6 degrees from the factory... it shuold have been at 12. so... 12' +/- 2 degrees on an EX... on a DX.. oh they are all the same except the Si is 16' +/- 2 degrees BTDC at idle.
