Default HID's for my EM1

I have been doing a little research on HID's and i was just wondering what brand you guys suggest and where to get it. I would like a 7000-8000(blue) kit and i would also like to know what one i need to fit in my 2000SI. Thanks Guys

You will need a kit with D2R capsules that are properly based for H4 applications. You can also buy standard D2R capsules and purchase Casper shields that will allow you to install them. However, ideally you'd want to perform a complete retrofit using OEM HID projectors. And finally, do yourself and others a favor and avoid the higher Kelvin capsules that have less light output and ricer color.

I actually just did a retro fit of a set of wrecked EVO 8 HID lights and projectors. The guy I bought the car from had a set of el-cheapo 300$ Ebay special HID lights in the car. One burned out in a week and the other 2 months later. Lesson learned: Go Brand Names. You buy cheap, you get cheap.

Agree with Padawan. The higher the K, the less light output they actually have.

Also just for my personal sanity, if you do a HID conversion, AIM THE DAMN THINGS PROPERLY. You need to aim the HID lights just a tad lower than normal lights. Nothing ticks me off more than stupid ricer kids driving around with bright-whites and HID's and fog lights pointing up and blinding everyone. (Sorry, just venting)
