Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch on my 96 Honda Civic EX
This is more of an FYI for future searching as I couldn't find much when I was looking up info...
I needed a trailer hitch for my civic so I could drag a trailer from Ohio to Florida. I looked at a few hitch manufacturers and decided on Hidden Hitch.
I ordered the trailer hitch (w/receiver), a 2" hitch ball and the electrical wiring from hitchmart.com and received it the next day (great service!).
installation was a breeze. it uses existing holes in the frame, as well as, the existing towing hook (no cutting of the fascia or anything either). it 'hugs' the car very well and is probably the least noticeable of all hitches on a civic.
here's some pictures:
After I drag the trailer, I'll either remove the hitch and post it for sale, or i'll get a bike rack sleeve and use it for taking our bikes over to Sanibel/Captive Islands
hope it helps someone!

Re: Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch on my 96 Honda Civic EX (supadupamikey)
I'm thinking to buy a "hidden hitch" for my 98 Accord 4-cyl. They have only one model for my car: Link
(http://www.hiddenhitch.com/Products/...?HitchID=60913)
I searched the web and found that most retailers sell hidden hitch (for Accord and Civic) with a 1 1/4" ball. But my local UHaul trailers need 1 7/8" ball and up. My question is did you get a larger size drawbar for your 2" ball, or you just used the original drawbar came with the hitch?
Thanks!

Yes, this is an old post, but it's the only helpful one I can find about hidden hitch. Actually I had thought about PM supadupamikey since this post is so old. But I guessed this topic might interest other guys too. If you guys think it's so silly. Please advice the smart way to ask question here. Thanks!

start a new topic maybe? i doubt anyone here is going to care about a trailer hitch for a civic and all the extra weight it brings.

Re: (turner7205)
I had a hitch on my old accord it was on there when i got it but the only use i found for it was when i lived in the city minor fendor bendors happen all the time with people bumping into me and what not. I must say my hitch did wonderful damage to others cars and left me untouched.

Used my EM1 to pull a 4 wheeler on a trailer around. Never had a problem.

Re: (pdiggitydogg)
it seems like 50% of pics on H-T, over a year or two old, are red X's. where are people hosting their pics that they don't last?
Also, when you do a search for an item, looking for some pics, a bazilion FS ads come up, but nooo, when the item sold, the seller deletes the pics, and replaces them with 'SOLD', pisses me right off. And the little camera icon was still there beside the thread title, telling you there's pics there.
