Default hid retrofit gone wrong!

ok so i have had the luxury of driving a TL typeS for the past couple months and when it came time to get back in the em1 the lighting sucked! so having CTR headlights i thought caspers adaptors + a D2R kit out of an mbenz sounded great!
well i got the damn things in, the beam pattern is ok but they look super bright just looking at the headlights. so i am wondering if i am going to have to take the glare shields out of my stockies and put them into the ctr's which i am finding out right now that i am going to have to break the seal on the ctr's is there anything i can do without cracking open my CTR's besides blind the **** out of everyone? on a side note i have a picture of some elite hello kitty defusers, but when looking a few months back i couldnt find them.

if you have the casper shields you dont need to take out the glare shields thats what the casper shields are designed to take care of. just aim them correctly and there should be no problem

reading....
i dont have any OEM glare shields due to CTR headlights.

they are aimed fine. they look good on the road. but looking at the headlight itself its uber bright.

yeah I've tried aiming them doesn't really work. Still shines every where and blinds everyone but i guess thats what you get when you put hid's in a housing that wasn't designed for it

taking apart ur ctr lights makes them pretty much worthless. just pop them into your stock head lights and give that a shot

explain why they are worthless if opened but its ok to do it with the stock ones... oem usdm headlights cost more than a set of jdm lights new bro.

would you buy a set of of CTR lights that have been opened and resealed? i sure as hell wouldnt. would u buy stock OEM lights? nope, cuz u already have a set. its all about the demand of the product you have that determines the price.

btw
USDM headlights = $154 each on hondaautomotiveparts.com
JDM headlights = $435/pair on jhpusa.com

actually the caspers electronics adaptors do good crisus solved. i parked my car and got in another one and drove at it, it barely looks brigheter comming down the road but when in the car (only 1 HID in at the moment) it looks like only 1 headlight is on

i will make a new post when put the other one in with pics!

EDIT: what i was worried about was when you are standing next to the car and are looking down at the hid it looks 3x brigher.. so i guess it sucks for trucks
