Default HID Question

im thinking about adding HID to my jdm headlights for an eg hatch. and i asked around and i heard that the HID melts the jdm headlights cause they are plastic? is that true?

really? I dont think so!!
i got an ek and i painted the inside jdm sytle and il'v been using hids 4 about 1year anothing melted yet

HID's burn at a cooler temp then Halogen as far as I know. You'll have a harder time finding H4H bulbs though.

No your lights will not melt, yes h4h hid kits are easily found on ebay. Pnp kits suck and all other drivers will hate you for blinding them. Do a retrofit.

All headlights these days have plastic shields, and look at how many come with HIDs. My buddy's JDM ITR has plastic headlights with HIDs.

Anyways, it will be just fine, and it will look awesome.

its when you modify your stock / aftermark housing to accept a projector made specifically for HID (eg: from an S2000, BMW, Audi... etc).

I've never heard that, I have an HID kit on my 97 3.0 cl and it has plastic headlights, and I have no problems with them
