HIDs are much less expensive these days... I remember (back in the day) when aftermarket HID first hit the scene it was at least $550. I bought a nice set from a seller on ebay for less than $100. Buying a second set for my high beams soon (I have split beam projectors on my EJ1). The sellers name is HIDgate or something like that.

Buy the right kit for your bulb type and all it is from there is wiring.

How is that confusing? You buy a kit of a bulb type that matches your car. Same bulb type as if you walked in to a parts store to get a simple replacement bulb.

What kind of car do you have?

Yeah when I said under $100 I think my kit was like $62 or something shipped from that HIDgate person. I chose theirs because the ballasts are compact and don't look like some ghetto rig metal electrical box bought from home depot.

Your bulbs are 9003. Goto www.ebay.com and find some HID kit for 9003.

I'm not buying it for you....

You get what you pay for. I have sold some of the cheaper kits at my work and they keep coming back. Just do it right and get a quality brand.

if you take time out. it can look pretty clean.

you can hide the ballast in the fender and tuck the wires for a clean install.

I think where people fail is when aiming them properly... Of course a bright *** light blaring in your face is going to blind you... HIDs from the OEM are normally aimed a little lower because the light cast is greater. In most cases the OEM uses projectors along with HID which produces a directed beam of light which should be aimed level at 30 meters away.

I will admit, my HIDs are aimed a little high right now, but thats why I have HIDs in the high beams as well, when they flash me I hit em with a second set of HID and they think twice the next time.
