You want either 3 or 6k, the higher the number the bluer the like and 14k is almost purple get a bi xenon kit instead of the single beam or the cheap ones that are xenon lowbeam and halogen high beam
A bixenon kit will run you about a 100 bucks off ebay and they are quality kits and like nick p said you want a clear headlight housing meaning no ebay blackhousing or ricer style angeleye junk to give you the look you want

Re: hid kit
It suck to see yet another person doing a half *** and illegal mod to their car. If you want HIDs buy projectors to put them in. Or you could continue to be a cheap ******* who buys lights to look cool and not give a **** about the performance of them or the people passing you.

Re: hid kit
Yea they are Ilegal for sure, doubt they are enforced anywhere but CA. The whole point of the post was just to basically say plug and play HID kits suck, the reflective housings are designed to reflect halogen lights. Projectors are designed for HIDS save the extra money and buy a kit from TRS and I promise you will not be disspointed.

Re: hid kit
Just pulled up state law, states that HID Kits installed into non-projector Housings are illegal. If the HID Kit is installed into a projector housing, then it is legal. Anything other than a projector housing is illegal unless the housing is what came from the factory stock and it came equiped with HID from factory stock.

Yea I have looked into the state laws, and thats what I was leading to him looking into projectors. The reasons being, they are legal and are a million times better.

OP-----Pm Operatic, i had his kit, and it was great, No issues with them. I dont have them any more, but they are still going great in my freinds car, just about 2 years.
There is also ddm tuning.
Edsales, thats not what i asked, I know how to find state laws. Do you have proof to support they arent illegal in virgina?

The best light upgrade for your car, get 5000k pure white light.
If you want some yellow lights buy fogs, they are yellow.

Re: hid kit
Those retrofit source kits are very well priced, includes all the wiring and everything!
That seems like the hard part figuring out all the wiring, but putting the projectors into the housing should be cake.

Re: hid kit
The wiring is cake, there is a hot wire two grounds and a plug for your existing lights. And if you get bixinon, a high low wire that you connect to the projectors wiring.
The part that is important is the mounting so you get that cutoff line.
