hid in EG tyc projectors?

hid in EG tyc projectors?
i'd like some feedback from people who have put h1 hid's in the tyc one piece headlights. is the beam pattern and cutoff good? i tried searching but all the pics in the older threads are down. thanks

Thats not true. There is still a shield inside the TYC projectors. http://www.cardomain.com/id/nycivicex check it out... theres a straight cut off the only thing you need to do when adding HIDS to TYC's is grind the socket because it doesnt fit... the lightbulb that is.

nope. casper shields are only usually need on H4 or 9007 setups that have both hi/lo on the same bulb. projectors have shields built in, otherwise they'd look like spot lights. i've seen pics of TYC one piece projectors (with the h1 bulbs) with hid's. the output actually looks good witha sharp, defined cut off
