hi about my turbo ls vtec civic

Default hi about my turbo ls vtec civic

hi i noticed that my cars clutch is slipping alot and the car travels 7 mph at high rpm such as 6500 would u think that the clutch is shot only or some other problems?

if the clutch is slipping bad its most likely shot, how many miles are on it, what clutch? do you beat on it bad?

I think so too, I had a friend who had a civic with 230k on it, I had to redline it to get the thing moving from stop.... the clutch on that car was never changed... lol.

it had 11,000 miles on the motors and the clutch was installed 1 year ago but the guy be4 me use to race it , and so did my brother so i dunno how bad it is right now i believe it was an act clutch becuase the car is pushing out 290whp@7 psi

11K on a raced turbo clutch even if its not all the way blown its hurtin and close to being shot, change it out, its hurtin your cars performance either way so get a enw one.

so you would most likely say its only a clutch problem right? because my brother when driving it he got outside of the car and noticed smoke coming from the transmission area so u think its the clutch right?

it could be a main seal and its leaking oil into the clutch and thats why its slipping so bad. Either that or hes frying the clutch so bad its smoking. Take it apart and find out
