Default HFP exhaust on '92-'95 Civics

Obviously anything is possible, but I just want to know how realistic this idea is.

I'm currently running some off-brand 2.25" cat-back exhaust (stainless steel). I've been looking at the Apexi WS2 for a while now, but I'm going to turbocharge my car eventually, so I'll have to re-do the piping later. So I'm looking for a fairly inexpensive alternative to the WS2 (even though it sounds awesome).

I saw EK Forever Guy's Si exhaust on his Civic, but I can't listen to the video right now because I'm in school.

Now...what about the HFP exhaust systems? They can fit, but has anybody heard of doing this? And I'm talking about the exhausts for the Si and Fit

The Fit's...I'm not sure on the piping size, but the tip is 3.25"

I can only imagine that the Si's piping would be a bit bigger than the Fit's, and the piping looks much more similar to our '92-'95 Civic's piping route.

Take it to an exhaust shop, they can make it fit. If people can make the stock 06/07 SI muffler fit then you should have not have any problems making the HFP exhaust that were designed for the SI's, fit.

I know it's possible, but I didn't know if anybody else had given it a try yet.

I'm planning on getting a high-flow cat pretty soon (running a test pipe because my stock cat got clogged...yes, I know, I'm killing the air, but I'm taking care of the problem), and I'm trying to find a good deal on the HFP Si muffler...~$300 shipped

For $300 I wouldnt buy it, thats too damn expensive just because its HFP. You can find better new/used mufflers for less IMO

Yeah, I'm still searching for some a bit cheaper.

Once I get on a computer with speakers I'm gonna give EK Forever Guy's a listen to see if the regular Si muffler sounds good, then I'll hop on youtube to see what the HFP sounds like.

That "your moms vibrator fell off the bed onto an empty beer can" kinda buzz.
Just about any honda (1.5 and 1.6 liter ) with an avg exhaust gets that buzz, just the way the soundwaves resonate thru the piping at that particular RPM, or 'wavelegnth'

^^^ Yeah, I effin' hate loud exhaust. Its the most annoying thing you can have on a DD aside from no A/C. Its cool when you are a kid, because it makes you feel cool, but as you get older you realize how stupid you were and how much you pissed off everyone around you.

It's not LOUD, but people know it's me coming, if you catch my drift.

The buzz comes from the silencer...but on the other hand if I DIDN'T have the silencer it'd be RIDICULOUSLY loud.

I just want something with a little bit of "oomph" to it, but not too much...and looks reasonably stock (~3" tip).

I just found a used Si sedan muffler...there shouldn't be too much difference in that and the coupe, right? The piping looks a wee bit straighter, but basically the same.

I've hopped on fgcoupe.com and 8thcivic.com and I've found both the stock axle-back and HFP axle-backs for decent prices.

I can't really get an idea of what the HFP will sound like on a 1.8L and I'm having a hell of a time trying to decide which to get.

My set-up will be...

GS-R---Header---Magnaflow high-flow cat----resonator----2.25" piping to muffler

Any opinions?
