Hey, heres a stupid question...(valve adjustment)
I just put my lsv together and it wont start. Heres the question...I had all new valvetrain put in,(Ti retainers, dual valve springs, and valves with a 3 angle valve job) and my car wont start up, would not have adjusting the valves keep the car from starting???
the spark plugs are firing, im getting fuel, and the engine is timed correctly...
(will car not start due to no valve adjustment?)

Yep. Just slapping those valves in the and expecting it to fire isn't going to work.
Actually, there's a chance you could damage your new parts from valves being open when they're not supposed to be.
I ran into a similar problem with my B16.
Adjusted the valves and it ran like it should.

cool, imma go do that now then. Would autozone have feeler gauges? i dont have any thats why i havent done this yet...
and another tid bit of info, the spark plugs are firing good but starting to sort of foul and its getting fuel and i can smell alot of gas in the exhaust so maybe all the compression is just going out the exhaust?

They should have gauges. I know Checker has them.
Make sure you get the one that has a TON of different thickness things in it. I messed up and got one that didn't have enough, or I just couldn't make the right size out of and ended up having to go back to get another.
Also make sure you get the right kind that shows both mm and standard.
As far as the plugs go, take 'em out, hit them with a brass or soft wire brush and put them back in.

haha thanks...
got the car to start.
valves were held open enough that its compression was goin straight out the exhaust and a lil in the intake...
but now it runs and idles like ish. its a b18a1 bottom end and a b16a2 head...
should i get some adjustable cam gears i just used the stock b16 cam gears and the dizzy is all the way over and barely in time...
what you think?
