Default Hey guys new guy

I would just like to know what kind of engine i should drop into a 93 civic hatchback eg. I would only really be doing straight line races. People have told me to drop in a b18c1 engine. Or is there a better one to drop in. If so please gie me the specs on it and all other things. Like how hard to install and if it just bolts right up. Thank You

you will find a lot of people to say b18c5 (type r motor)or h22(prelude)
depends one what you really want to do with the car but both would be real fast . personally if it was me i would just go with a b18c5 cause ive installed 2 already and its a easy swap to do for someone whos never done one.only reason i didnt pick h22a is cause it takes a lil more work to install and im to lazy to learn something new i guess..

Just so you know the b series engine will bolt in with the mounts that came with the engine.but your still goin to need to get axles, wiring harness,etc.. yea search is a good thing it will help you from getting chewed out.

i'd say if you have the money go with b18c5 because its lighter than h22...

b18c5 is the best "drop in" you can do...whats your price range? if you want to go fast in a straight line, you can do wonders with a b18c on boost.
