Hey All- Newbie here looking to buy a used Civic

What's up? I'm looking to buy a used 90's Civic around 5K or so. I'd like a 2 door, preferably manual, and the most bang for the buck. Other than that, I don't care about any extras. I have no idea what the different models mean i.e. DX, HX, EX... Any suggestions as to what to look for/ watch out for? I've always liked these cars but I don't know much about them at all. I'm looking to make a purchase in the near future.

craigslist.org u could find cars all day @ that site...... u could find a good civic for about 2,500-3,000

it depends on your goals for the car, ie: gas mileage, autox, swaps, turbos etc. if you don't care about extras, i'd get a CX 5 speed, because it's the lightest, and eventually swap a better motor in...otherwise leave the orginal motor and get 40mpg!
