Default Here's a question - will US odometer swap into JDM cluster?

Would I be able to swap out the odometer from my US cluster into a JDM cluster? And if so, what is it that determines whether an odometer reads miles or km? Would a JDM cluster with a US odometer still read miles?

Or should I just not worry about it?

When I say odometer, I mean the entire assebly behind the guage face.

You should be able too. Not 100% sure but it should work, but I believe the JDM face is kmh. Just do the swap and see what happens...

The speedo needle should be calibrated the same, just the guage face is different. My only concer is the odometer. Will it turn in KM's or miles?

im not sure if i understand your plan here but i think you are going to swap out your entire US speedo/odometer assy into your JDM cluster.... i doubt this will work, its the printed circuit behind the cluster that determines whether the odometer reads in mph or kmh. Also your needle will not be reading mph accurately.

you could swap printed circuits as well as speedos and that would work, but be careful when swappin printed circuit because they are easy to **** up. i over-torqued the screws

It works fine. You can swap all the gauges out, just did it for my friends broken gas gauge. The only thing you might run into a problem with is the DC2 94-97, and DC2 98-01. You will need to find a matching year for those.

I'm pretty sure everyone is talking about swapping out the entire gauge not just the face. Swapping out the face would make no sense, the MPH and KPH are in completely different locations

if you want a black guage in the middle go for it
infact you gonna have to use your usdm cluster housing & switch every part (meaning)remove pins w fork and use jdm faces w usdm backing in side a usdm cluster and cut where your milage will fit !
id just rather roll in km and w a srs light attached!

Haha, I was only talking about swapping the odometer assembly behind the guage face. JESUSDREAD brought up a good point:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by JESUSDREAD &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">1st off there are no screws on the face of the jdm eg6 cluster</TD></TR></TABLE>

Looks like it's a no go.

just remeber the conversion factor, alot easier to deal with IMHO, 1 mile=1.609 km
