Default Here's my dilemma (Plastic Bumper peice) 97' EX

Hello,
So today I brushed up against something and my entire front
bumper (the plastic) peice just came off. It wasnt attached totally
with all the pushpins, and somebody might have weakened it in the lot.
A guy checked it out and he said it would cost $500-600 to replace..
(yea right)
So i need to be able to order the palstic bumper (I guess it comes in flat black?)
cause I dont want to be driving around without the bumper for too long (ie.
weather elements, road debris etc.)
Right now with medical school taking up most of my time,
I don't really have the option of leaving my car overnight so I wanted to
just get the bumper put on quickly without any primer or paint, for now I can
drive around without the bumper but I want to minimize this to as little
days as I can. I figure just for the plastic bumper it shouldnt run
me more than 40-50$?
Car is Honda Civic 1997 EX. (runs good)
Thanks for the help.
P.S. my car is black, think I can get away with just
using the flat black bumper?

EDIT: So it it wasnt already implied from my post, any reliable websites
that will ship fast and cheap, for a flat black bumper cover, that you
guys recommend?

either go to a junkyard and pick one up it there is a yard in your area, or order an oem replacement piece. They cost no where near what you were quoted.

Check http://www.certifit.com/ I want to say a del sol bumper was 33 last I checked, I can't imagine a hatch bumper being that much more.

Also check craigslist.org

So from that website:
"cost saving alternative to more expensive original
equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts"
Are the parts from that site to OEM specifications? Like can I
be sure that I wont have any fitment issues? Thanks.

You can't find a bumper local to you on that site? What is your zip code?

Don't bother to select regions like that. Too often it just narrows your search too much.

Here, I found some within seven miles of you.

http://www.europartsexpress.com/

$55.50 apiece is what they're listed at.

For reference, I looked it up as:

1997
Honda Civic
Bumper Assy (Front) includes Cover
All Areas/Select an Area
Distance
20814

Well it was like $32 at that certifit site,
has anyone ordered from there? Just want
to make sure the parts will fit fine, cause price seems
really cheap.

The price for the OEM bumper is fine. I think Eran had a Certifit bumper on his car before.. I know the fender is Certifit. Fender fits fine. Bumper fit like ***. We eventually replaced the bumper.

The holes on the sides (where it bolts to the fender) didn't even overlap to the holes in the fender.

wow i guess i wont be calling certifit...
I need something that wont be a pain in the *** to put on,
doesnt have to be perfect but at least semi-line up.
Cause I dont have time to get a bumper that doesnt fit
and just waste more time for no reason.
I guess I should spend the extra $20..
