Help! Wiring problem
I was trying to replace a detached side indicator bulb and in doing so, the electrical system seemed to take a turn for the worse. The instrument panel stopped lighting up when the ignition switch turns to 'accessories'. The seat belt light and warning tones don't come on. Basically, nothing on the instrument panel lights up. The check light doesn't come on for the usual 3 seconds or so, and I'm not hearing the whirr of the fuel pump so the fuel pump doesn't come on to pressurize the system. So I think no fuel is reaching the rail and the car doesn't start. It cranks so the ignition is fine. Everything else works fine: windows, headlights, radio etc. I tried resetting the ECU but that didn't help. All the fuses and relays are good. All the sensors seem to be connected. I can't spot anything! Can anyone help me? I hope the info isn't too vague. Thanks for any help.
