Help with Window Wiper Delete 92 Civic
I ordered this block off grommet for the back of my 1992 Honda Civic DX Hatchback. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-OEM-Hond...81f45d&vxp=mtr
It came in the honda package and I assume that it is an actual part for my car. I followed the diy on here on how to remove the wiper and when i put the grommet in, there was no way to keep the rear window wiper cover onto the back glass, this part is connected with my hatch lock. And it will not stay latched because the part is moving. I saw one diy, where he used a sink drainer instead of the grommet. But i was wondering what i could use to make this work. I went to lowes and tried to use a washer inside of the grommet with a screw and nut but that wouldn't work. Any ideas or anyone else have an solutions it would be appreciated.
#9 is the part that wont stay tight againts the back window and has the hatch lock on it. http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...ry5=REAR+WIPER

When you go to the linked ebay listing, scroll down. It says, "*** Note - may not allow your rear window to latch on 92-95 models civics, check out out metal wiper plug kit for better fitment on the 92-95 models "
This one would have been the proper one for your car.

No worries, mistakes happen. Now that you know though, will you buy the proper one or are you still looking for advice on how to make the one you have work?

I wish I could make mine work, but it looks like my wiper's going back on for a while. I don't feel like paying 50 bucks for that delete that it say's works.
