You need an 8mm rolled pin punch... I have never seen one in a store, I ordered a pair from McMaster carr a while back ($$$ )

Whats the difference between a rolled pin punch and a regular 'ol punch? I just use a regular type 8mm Craftsman punch when I take mine out.

right now i have a bolt just about the same size of the hole going through there with a nut on top and the shifter wiggles like crazy. Does the spring pin expand in the hole or ?????.... tryin to see if i can find something else that works the same, otherwise i'll order it from that site above

craftsman actually has the rollpin punch. but you have to buy the whole set. its like 19bux at sears. and its not measured in metric, which you have to use the 1/4". + if you use this, I think you can safely remove the bitch pin without mushrooming it, then reuse it so it pays for having this tool I guess.
