help...what should i put here
Well i got my new exhaust on, and ever since then, there has been a loud ***
rattle when i take right-turns or when i'm under 2000rpm. I found the problem, i
just don't know what to put there that won't melt.
I tried putting dynamat in there and it hasn't melted, but it didn't help that much either.
There is this one hook that i could put the rubber thing on, but it doesn't have
anything to stop it from falling off so i don't know how good of an idea that is.
It would help get it off the rubber hard stuff that it is rattling on.
Tell me what you all think i should do, i want to fix it before i wear off the surface
on the exhaust. Thanks for any help, and yes i did search.

Have you looked to see if you can change any of your rubber hangers? Maybe a longer one so that the exhaust hangs just a little bit lower. I had this problem on my Greddy EVO exhaust but I just ended up stretching my rubber hangers a little bit. Try that hopefully it will help. Most auto parts also sell "universal" hangers that my help as well.

Re: (remborsky)
you could get new hangers as mentioned, or you could cut one side of one of your current hangers (which is ghetto, but it will work... just don't do them all). i would personally go back to the exhaust shop that made it (i have assumed it's custom work) and have them fix it.....

well this is a greddy evo. Did you say i should
get a smaller rubber hanger so it stretches it
the other way, or were you saying to bend
the hanger the other way. Thanks for the fast
input. it is appreciated

If you had a shop put on the exhaust they will do this for free.

probably the best thing to do, you could try using longer rubber hangers to get the exhuast further away from the body. you might even want to try just pulling the exhaust down and towards the rear of the car, stretching and seating the exhaust hangers back

Even if you didn't have a shop put it on they may do it for free anyway. My exhaust was rattling in the same location when I went in reverse. I thought it was a loose hanger. The hangers were bent too much, so they just heated them, unbent them some and said on the house. I was there for like 5 minutes. It's not a good idea to try to put something between there. Especially something that can burn and release toxins. Just get it done the right way.
