Help!! What relay is this? [pic inside] (Causing no start)
Well I just replaced the thermostat in my 98 civic lx (d16y7) and when I went to test drive it, it started right up then died when rpms steadied.
When I tried to start it again turning the key about to start i hear rapid clicking from the glove box area and the shift selector in the cluster (automatic) the light was coming on around d4 flashing with the clicks. the car would turn over while doing this but wouldnt start.
So what relay is this? I need to get my car going again! can it be bought at parts houses?

Well since no one was of any help I've discovered that this is the main/fuel pump relay. Incase anyone else has this problem, It's located behind the glove box on the wall and you can buy it at parts house for an average of $50. However I'm going to try my luck on one from the junk yard at $11

UPDATE; After 2 trips to the junkyard it was still doing the same. Come to find out there are 2 ground wires that attach to the thermostat housing that was loose. Tightened them up and its going good again.

The relay in my 95 Civic DX has intermittent issues all the time. Especially if it rains hard. It will take a long time for it to activate. Looks like I need to check around for a loose ground wire.

Wasn't even the problem. Check the rest of the thread.
Thats probably what it is. My relay wasn't even bad. I just wasted $$ because the parts yard only gives credit.
There are two ground wires that attach to a bolt on the thermostat housing. That bolt on mine wasn't tight at all. It isn't even required to be taken off to pull the housing off.
Sounds silly but those two little wires not making good contact caused the crazy symptoms and my car not to run.

Not silly or trivial. It turns out that the ground wire, G101, attached to the thermostat housing is one of the most critical in the engine bay. It grounds the ECU and most engine sensors.

Guy asks what relay it is. I provided help to find the answer. Not my fault he double/triple posts after his OP stating he figured out how to read and confirmed it was the main relay and giving us another problem to figure out.
