Default HELP: what engine to do this time?

i have a d16z6 in my 94 hatch. it was boosted. sold that, engine is knocking now, BAD. soo... the N/A sohc wasnt cutting it after feeling the 200whp. i have about 2kish to spend. but that has to be able to cover everything needed. i was thining about tring to find a used b18b / b18c1 swap..... anybody else have suggestions of what could be had on my budget to make a decent n/a engine for now..

Buy a cheap Y8 and a 4.9 Final drive.

Then keep the rest for something else in the meantime...or throw the turbo back on that sucker...or did you sell the turbo with the car?

a friend has a wrecked 00 ex. i thought about getting his engine, using my head for obd-1 purposes, his block and IM. im sure it would feel a bit faster than what i have now seeing how there are no thrust washers in my block anymore and clutch in, floored it dies off at like 6800... wont even redline....

man **** it.... ****** wont let me edit what i wrote.. so this is what i tried changing it to....

i have a d16z6 in my 94 hatch.looking at hmotorsonline.com. 92-00 jdm b16 2350+ shipping. 94-01 jdm b18b 2200+shipping. full change overs. which one would be faster in my hatch, and how much faster than a sohc vtec? thanks

and how much would it cost for me to buy both of those, an ecu, shift linkage, flywheel, clutch, tranny, axels, engine harness, do the custom stuff to make the cr-vtec work properly... im not against it, just looking for something that is complete where i dont have to hunt down parts all the time to make it all run. i work and go to school. and as of now have no car to drive. cant be down for long.

If you're looking for something easy get a straight b18c

with frankenstein setups you sometimes have to worry about different parts for different motors.

This is again for the simplest solution.

don't stay SOHC, unless you like being slower and still think is "cooler"

/end DOHC bias here
