I'm stuck on 2 cars I'm possibly getting,I guess they both have no rust, ones an ex coupe ones a 4 door lx, except the coupe has racing stripes painted on that's the draw back both of them are red, is the ex really worth getting over the 4 door, I know it has the better motor and they both have around 110k miles, any help would be appreciated,thnx

yeah,^ based on the info you gave us, it's really up to you. 4 door or 2 door?

coupes are sportier, excuse to not give people rides, but ppl gotta squeeze into the back

sedans are more low key, prob give lots of rides, roomy

Yeah...I have a coupe...I like it...but that's me. The big thing is how many doors you want.

If they're 5th gen I'm not too familiar with it, but did they have more stuff like power windows and locks or anything on the EX?

That might factor in to your decision? What shape are the interiors in? What colors are the interiors?

Might be an odd question but do you have kids? 4 doors would be extremely helpful in this case. Easy to make passengers crawl they're happy asses in the back of a coupe...much harder to try and maneuver a child into a carseat in the back of a coupe.

Guess they have no rust? If they're 5th gens, they have a couple spots that are notorious for rust, some of which aren't too visible unless you take off the side skirts or really feel around.

If the paint isn't really clean, and you plan on painting sometime, don't let the racing stripes deter you too much if that's the platform you want to start with. Stripes are easier to remove than doors

I dunno how much truth this holds but imo I'd say that lx's would not have been beat on near as much as an ex. In my area for the most part lx's are used by mainly older people which are not likely to do any modifications or anything of that nature and are generally well taken care of.
