Help on uberdata setup for Y8
I am building a D16y8 race motor to road race which will have the goodies that will put it into the race motor class like fuel and such.
my question is . I have seen numerous programs about uberdata and chrome and i am just curious what i should get to have the datalogging and real time ability to make adj. and tune the car like if i were at the track.
so im curious as to what i would need and what would be the best setup to run . chip , ecu , program , which Wide band and type , stuff like that
thanks!!

i posted this in all motor and they were no help.
thanks

Re: Help on uberdata setup for Y8 (2lua)
you have to convert to obd1 uberdata doesnt work with obd2. If you have any questions with it just hit me up on aim, i use uberdata and have datalogging working and everything. If you want to tune real time go to moates.com and buy the Ostrich it is essentially the hondata chip emulator, it does however cost something around 180, but well worth it. So if you buy that here is a complete list of what you need to chip a OBD1 ecu:
Uberdata Program-0
Ostrich Emulator-180
Chipping Socket ect.-25
Laptop-0-3000
Nokia/Comparable datalogging cable-20
And in your case since you would need to conver to OBD1, you will also need:
OBD1 ecu (p28)-100
Conversion Harness-150
OBD1 Dizzy (not sure if you need this)-70
so for a total of around 550 bucks you could run uberdata...

Re: Help on uberdata setup for Y8 (B16aDasher)
they did sell them at radioshack for 9.95... thats where i got mine, but people say they are harder to get now so i added a little to that
edit: also if you go to the uberdata forum they have many other cables that work now, go and look there are quite a few
