Default Help with turbo idea

im getting a turbo for christmas... but the thing is there is a limit to spending... so basically im getting a ebay turbo kit... is this a bad idea? i have a 2000 b16a2 motor with around 75,xxx miles on it... also with a skunk 2 intake mani and chrome chip p28 converted to obd1.... any idea on the ebay deals? i get to spend 900$

take the $900 in cash and save some more. =P Its not just a turbo, you need a tune, improved fuel system, and spare money for inconveniences.

how much is a tune ? and fuel system? my gf already purchased the kit...

well that kit is just and will go bad sooner or later (cracked manifold, leaking turbo is common with those kits). Tune is going to cost anywhere from $100 street to $300-400 dyno. Injectors and fuel pump will run you anywhere from $150 (dsm and walbro 300whp) to $400 (up to 550whp)

Save da cash... By name brands, don't settle with the B/S out there... Sood stuff comes comes with rebuilds and a warranty, Ebay $hit comes with NADDA, NADDA DAMN THING....

yea I thought I was going to get my turbo up and going with like a g but by the time I got done with it I was well over 2 so just do your research and make sure that you have everything lined up or serious down time can be in your future.
