Default Help tuning my vafc on my civic type r

I installed a v-tec controller on my b16b motor and I changed the engagement points from 6500 to 5500. I didnt touch the fuel curves or the other options because I dont want to mess up my motor. I was wondering if anybody has any experience in tuning the vafc. Any information would be very appreciated. Thanks.

for any real tuning, you want to take your car to a dyno.

What do you have done to your engine? If it isn't anything major I'd find the stock VTEC crossover (just because the VAFC turned on at 6500 doesn't mean that's where Honda put it) and reset it to that. Moving VTEC will only help if youve got some significant engine work (ie: turbo, cams/springs/p&p, etc...).

if i were you i would change your vtec point back to stock untill you can get some tuning time with a wideband. if you change your tec point without adjusting your fuel maps, your computer isnt going to adjust the fuel to suit your vtec engagement point and you will run lean/shitty. also, you will most likely throw a map sensor code soon unless you change it back due to the difference in the fuel readings that the computer is seeing.

More if you need extensive tuning. but from the sound of it, 10 will do you.
