Default HELP! Torn between hatches......(Sorta long)

Currently i own a 93 Civic Si. Motor is perfect, interior is perfect. Brakes, suspension and body need a lil work....
Have a bunch of parts ready to install (brakes, full suspension, D-series turbo, etc.)
And yes.....it's teal! lol
Oh ya......i still owe about 3k on a loan for this car.

We all know how heavy Si's are. Granted there are many things that make Si's heavy that can easily be removed (besides rear disks moonroof and power mirrors). So here's my dillemma:

I was offered a 95cx hatch tonight for 400 bucks!
170k mi. , burns some oil, clutch and tranny still supposedly very good!
Body is mostly primered, with a few pieced together parts from other civics...
Interior is mostly gutted out because carpet got wet and smelled lol.

Now, here's where HT's voice is needed....Do i buy the car and either 1.make it my new project car because it's alot lighter than my Si or 2.keep it as my Daily Driver and get good gas milage in these hard times. 3.part it out and swap a few things onto my Si ( maybe mirrors and rear hatch window). ORRRR do i just say forget it?

Please please please help!

Buy the CX for $400, get a $300 Maaco paint job, sell said hatch for $3000. Spend the $2300 profit on hookers and caffiene.

good price, but keep the one you have and save the money for the future. they just get stolen all the time, might as well save that money.

hmmmm i say pass on the cx. your SI already has the creature comforts for a daily driver and and once you get that turbo on, weight wouldn't be such a factor unless you were going to track it. but do as you wish

Nice.

I would keep teh Si, it's is much nicer for DD duty, and I'm sorry, but the extra comforts make up for the extra weight IMO. If this is your DD, than the extra weight shouldn't make enough of a difference to justify the CX

keep the si, buy the cx, make the cx your project and use the si as the daily. just cause you have the cx doesn't men you have to drive it all the time. let it sit and do small things at a time... once you pay off the si, do as you like with it. i would sell it.
