Help on timing jumper

Default Help on timing jumper

Trying to time my 95 eg not sure wich two wires to jump on the three wire jumper plug. If enybody could please help

Your using the wrong harness. There is a two wire plug there as well. Look for that one and jump it using a paperclip.

heres a pic of what jumper to use.... its not the 3 wire its the 2 wire jumper. also if you car is newer than 93 than you dont have to use the jumper it will set your timing way off.

Yeah, just use the 2 wire clip... jump it with a paperclip or whatever.

Wha?

Any support to this? I have always jumped my connector when setting my timing ('95) and it's fine. This is the way the manual says to time it.

I was told by a friend that it was the three wire but I will try the two wire.

yah thats what the chilton manual said 93 and below you jump the connector and it says 94 up you dont. i dont know. i went to get my **** bar'd and the guy jumped the ecu and he said my timing was 23 degrees off????

but anyway heres another pictar for you... also ive always timed my **** without the jumper.

Got it timed. tryed with out a jumper and it had to much timing at a idle. Then i backed it off and it with the jumper and it idles and runs like a champ

I jumped that connector when setting the timing in my 94 per the manual & I have had no ill effects....
